The Phantom Limb Pain is the newest album of the ambient project, Momentum II. On this album, Momentum II shows her more minimalistic approach, textured ambient compositions, layered with field recording and with occasional noise modulation. Many simple pieces can give life to something complex. Just like in nature. This release is also a series of experimental-drone loops on psychic shores with some concepts are retired from Sabrina Spilrein´s essay "Destruction as the Cause of Coming...

The music of oculoss is mainly of an atmospheric nature. Sometimes less is more, making his music ideal for listening while working, sleeping or doing other things. In "Parallel Path" oculoss explores texture, consistency, and a type of variety that could be called subtle. This is not the utopian ambient of the typical soundscape artist. This EP is serious music for serious people. http://www.clubotaku.org/mimi/uk/album264.php http://www.clubotaku.org/mimi/

The music of 1869's project EP 'Bangaihen" is ambient/drone spectrum, with a light touch of field recordings used in the last track. This three track EP is a great example of the artist's style, slowly developing a texture of a few motives, that are repeating throughout the tracks. "Bangaihen" is a very simple ambient album, made by a guy who loves to create new ambient music. All tracks were made spontaneously and improvised. Nothing hyper conceptual, but still well structured...

Toupe Mapeto aka THAGKIA, an audio artist who lives and works in Yokoyama. For many years Toupe Mapeto created noise/sound collage using synthesizers, drum machines, found sounds, and human voice. He's a music sculptor; bringing musical elements together that don’t always match or fit a popular sonic model of proper music. 14 tracks from Toupe Mapeto aka THAGKIA. Disturbing noises, haunting drones and ethereal voices make this first album of mitei narico on MiMi Records a record that is quite sensory and leads us to a disturbing cinematic-dream experience. mitei narico creates an engaging atmosphere that we could describe as an "electronic acustic doom". For sympathy mitei narico asked if his album could have a title in the language of Camoes, we never think that the name of his release was a description of him in portuguese ... after we met...

You can not be indifferent to the bass lines created by Paulo Vicente aka Poros on this last album... The journey begins with "entrar", then just close your eyes and let yourself go by the imagery that the sounds cause and when you get "sair" was a magnificent experience without a doubt! Poros breathes in the force of the sea, the aridity of the desert, the strength of the mountain, the persistence of rain, the movement of dust, the speed of the wind, the aura of the sun and...

We are experiencing times where the vertigo for differentiation and the urgency for pioneering take us the focus of the essential: doing good stuff with good taste. We compose, play, record and produce in a daily basis, in the bedroom, in the living room, in the marquise or in the bathroom. It's fabulous. But in the end, things are as they always were and as they always will be: good or bad. In fact, there are today more good stuff and more bad stuff. There is nothing bad about it since we...

Bacalhau com Todos (literally meaning "cod with everything” in Portuguese) is a common bacalhau recipe in Portuguese cuisine. It consists of boiled cod, boiled vegetables (such as potato, chick peas, onions, carrots and cabbage), and hard boiled eggs. It is served seasoned with olive oil infused with garlic and, depending on taste, also white wine vinegar. Gorge yourselves!

isos offers a collection of 7 simplistic, beautiful and sad piano pieces. Haunting, contemplative and understandably. If you are a lover of Eric Satie, Debussy or perhaps even Phillip Glass you will find this worth a listen. This album is a testament to the fact that a truly wonderful song needs nothing else to make it special. Although not every song shines, every one of them has something unique about it. That makes this EP grand. Only one piano creates true emotion, and unique songs....

Black is the absence of colour, noise is the denial of silence, FIN is the vertigo of possibility when attention is driven by the abyss. “We Turn in The Night Consumed By Fire” could be a commentary on modern life or just an image of past shamanic practices, deeply buried in our collective psyche. Fin inhabits the obscure, their sound resonates a soundtrack of modern nightmares blended with old fears. It shows us that waking up can sometimes be worse than having the darkest of dreams. Do...

"comune" offers a collection of four meditative piano pieces so extraordinarily beautiful that you won’t believe it. This is dreamy and wistful music that somehow seems to be staring off into the distance, only occasionally waking with a start to the quirky calling of a wrinkle from the real world. These pieces just seem to unfold, taking the listener at once to a deeper, yet buoyant place within them and each leaves you with the anticipation of the next. And I hope this has left...

An album of instrumental, experimentation is difficult to describe compared to ordinary pop songs with hooks and emotional connection points, other than to fire out a list of adjectives that jump to mind when pondering each track, but It doesn’t matter because it’s unimportant - these aren’t easy pop songs - they’re complex soundboards of chaotic, oddball electronic experimentation. Field recording has been one of the very significant tropes in early twentieth century sound art. With a world of sounds to explore, many artists have been trailing the path originally laid by Pierre Schaeffer et al., and among these, two of the most prominent practitioners have been Luís Antero and Darius Ciuta, each with several releases to their own name and one previous collaboration, 57’ (2012). Their new collaboration, Antip (2015), a 75-minute work, brings together both artists’...

For “93/Terra”, drinking time has arrived. Despite its youth, it has reached its ideal maturity. Deepest black, it rolls around the palette of the taster, and after a few sips, its strong tannins and complexity are revealed. Light bodied, well rounded, acidic, sweet, pungent and crisp. It has a long finish in the mouth, long, long, long, long, long, long, long and long. Goes well with nothing. It does not belong. It refuses to belong. It should be served at negative temperatures.

Just three months after the release of debut album "Autumn Leaves", the japanese project ykymr comes up with a new disc for the portuguese netlabel Mimi Records. The album is called "We Were Seeing The Sea Beyond The Fog" and navigates both between the claustrophobic tension of its predecessor and a dark psychedelia and melancholy and at the same time it overflows the six themes that compose it. Dispelled the fog are inevitable comparisons with the early work of Sigur...

Leaving from the heels of Björk, rising up to the shoulders of Trent Reznor, "A Loud Silence" finds balance in the less stable madness of its structure, but stays true to the essence of the project. An album that, despite the immaturity, rhythm and cruelty in it, which transports us to an environment of great vibes, does not convey a happy life in the birth of this project, due to the dark lyrics of the songs. "A Loud Silence" portrays nothing more, nothing less, than a...

The album untitled ambient bgm works by multidisciplinary artist Hugo Anaya, who composes under the name of EIEN. combines different elements troughout. Inviting us on a trip in to the composer's mind, from dark heavy synths to dreamy keys in the style of Boards of Canada, the album aims to pull together things he's passionate about.
